How progesterone cream can help to ease perimenopausal symptoms

There’s SO MUCH confusion circulating right now about the benefits, dangers, and opportunities that bioidentical topical progesterone can offer for your health, especially over age 40.

  • You hear allegations that it can increase your risk of getting cancer… or prevent cancer….

  • That it’s pointless to use it after menopause… or that all women should use it during and after menopause…

  • That adding any hormones is dangerous… that you need both estrogen and progesterone supplementation…

And it’s so hard, to filter through it all, to figure out what to do when all you want is to get some relief from your symptoms. As a woman over 40, there’s so much change on the horizon, and so many lies about how you’re “supposed” to feel during this stage of your life.

Here’s what it comes down to: there’s no shame in looking into ways to get instant relief from the symptoms that are making each and every day so hard. Powering through exhaustion, laughing off hot flashes, and suffering from brain fog or sudden, unexplained weight gain is NOT a badge of honor. Our culture tells us that it’s “normal,” but what if it didn’t have to be? Topical bioidentical progesterone is one of those things that—when used properly—delivers massive results and can relieve some of the biggest burdens you’re carrying right now.

WHY PROGESTERONE?

Progesterone plays so many roles in your body, and in particular, it is a calming hormone that helps you keep your cool. Making sure your progesterone levels are stable can…

  • Lighten painful, heavy periods

  • Reduce hot flashes (especially in conjunction with magnesium

  • Improve bone health and prevent osteoporosis

  • Balance your mood and reduce PMS symptoms

  • Improve your sleep

  • Reduce migraines and headaches

  • Stabilize blood sugar levels

  • Calm inflammation and reduce bloating

  • Improve your ability to handle daily stress

  • Ease breast tenderness and prevent breast cancer

  • Reduce occurrences of pelvic pain, fibroids, and endometriosis

  • And more…

Obviously, progesterone is important. And as you enter into perimenopause and menopause, it could be the key to feeling your best and maintaining your sleep, energy, weight, and overall health for years to come!

HOW TO KNOW IF YOU WOULD BENEFIT FROM USUAL TOPICAL PROGESTERONE:

If you identify with the symptoms or diagnoses in any of these 4 scenarios, topical progesterone may be a clear, easy answer to help you get relief quickly!

#1: IF YOU HAVE A PROGESTERONE DEFICIENCY

Progesterone deficiency is super common as you get into perimenopause (and it’s actually supposed to happen). Your hormone levels fluctuate day to day, but ultimately your body is winding down reproduction and decreasing the number of sex hormones (including progesterone) that are circulating in your body. Note: It’s a myth that these hormones “end” after menopause. Your adrenals continue to produce estrogen and progesterone, just in much smaller quantities than your ovaries did in your reproductive years. This natural decline in progesterone levels is often accompanied by a whole host of symptoms, and some of the biggest ones are…

  • Insomnia and trouble sleeping

  • Hot flashes or night sweats

  • PMS, PMDD, and heavy or irregular periods

  • Low mood, anxiety, and depression

  • Drastic mood swings or irritability

  • Weight gain, bloating, and excess fluid

  • Brain fog and migraines that occur right before your period

  • Decreased libido

  • Overall inflammation and pain

If these symptoms resonate with you, you are not alone. So many women are dealing with them—but you don’t have to just settle for THIS being your life!

#2: IF YOU HAVE ESTROGEN DOMINANCE

Estrogen dominance is a hormone epidemic among women over 35. Essentially, estrogen dominance is when your estrogen levels get out of sync with your progesterone (or the types of estrogen in your body are imbalanced). This leads to many of the symptoms I’ve mentioned above as well as fibrocystic breasts, fibroids, and the rapid worsening of PMS, periods, headaches, and more. This can be a very dangerous state to stay in for any length of time. If you don’t address your estrogen dominance head-on, you will be at much higher risk for autoimmunity, diabetes, and some cancers down the road. Check out this post for a simple assessment to see if you could be dealing with estrogen dominance and get your first steps to restoring your body’s balance! >>

#3: IF YOU’VE BEEN TOLD TO USE ESTROGEN HRT

DON’T. Using estrogen hormone replacement is NOT going to be a solution for all your symptoms. In all likelihood, you’re suffering from PMS, hot flashes, stubborn weight, fibroids, etc. because you have too much estrogen, not too little. Prescribing estrogen ONLY is an outdated (and potentially very dangerous) practice that some doctors still cling to. Instead of overloading your body with even more estrogen, using a natural, topical bioidentical progesterone can balance out the excess estrogen you already have and bring quick relief!

#4: IF YOU’RE IN PERIMENOPAUSE OR MENOPAUSE AND ARE EXPERIENCING LOW ENERGY, SLEEP PROBLEMS, HOT FLASHES, PMS, MOOD SWINGS, OR OTHER SYMPTOMS THAT ARE NEW (OR GETTING WORSE QUICKLY)

Even if you don’t have a particular diagnosis like estrogen dominance or progesterone deficiency, these symptoms are a sign that something is off in your body. As perimenopause progresses, these things will even out! Menopause is a new, fresh start with more stable (albeit lower) hormone levels and this crazy roller coaster will not last forever. But in the meantime, there is hope for relief!

REDUCE HOT FLASHES, IMPROVE SLEEP, RESTORE ENERGY, STABILIZE MOODS, AND MORE WITH ALL-NATURAL TOPICAL PROGESTERONE

Those myths that you’ve heard about progesterone supplementation causing cancer all relate to a synthetic form that was popular in previous decades called Progestins.

Now, we know better and we can do better! Topical progesterone serums are the simplest way to boost your progesterone levels quickly and naturally so you can get back to sleeping better, having energy that lasts, stabilizing your mood, controlling your PMS, and so much more.

My recommendation: Apply 1 ml of Progesterone Cream 1-2 times per day to smooth skin areas (such as your wrists, inner arms, thighs, throat, neck, abdomen, or chest). If you feel like your body needs more, you can slowly increase each dosage up to 40 mg until you find what works for you!
